Celtic Myths and Legends by Unknown

Wow.  I’m almost outraged.  Since this book is prefaced with a warning threatening legal action against anyone who even quotes the book, all I’ll say is that the binding fell apart after reading it once.

Celtic Myths and Legends by Unknown

This one’s been nagging me for a while from its spot on the shelf.  Looks like a quick read.

The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith

I’m not sure what to say about this book.  It was interesting, but also predictable.  I thought it took a while for the story to pick up, and even once it did, I didn’t feel affected by any of the characters in any way.  It’s left me scratching my head a bit.

The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith

I’ve been meaning to read this book for a long time.  I finally got my hands on a copy through a bookring, so I’m going to try to finish it this week.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

I received this sometime last month as part of a bookray and didn’t get the chance to start reading it until now.  I didn’t think I’d have the time, but as it turns out, I’m the last participant in the bookray.  That gives me a little bit more time, thank goodness.

Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier

OK, so I started this one a while ago.  It’s much too beautiful a story to abandon, so I’d like to “make it official” by including it in my count, here.

Women Who Run with the Werewolves by various authors

Admittedly, this was pure fluff, except for Ursula K. LeGuin’s contribution (which I very much enjoyed).

The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud

This book was just too much fun.  I rarely love a character as much as I loved Bartimaeus.  I’m damn anxious to get my hands on The Golem’s Eye so that I can continue reading this series.

The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud

This is the first book in The Bartimaeus Trilogy.  I recently found a copy of the third book in a bargain bin, which reminded me that I really wanted to read this trilogy.  The book’s been nagging me from its place on the shelf ever since.

The Moon in the Water by Kathy J. Phillips

This collection of memoirs was surprisingly calm and gentle.  I enjoyed reading it even more than I originally anticipated I would.
